On this day in 1990, Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) were married in a memorable ceremony on General Hospital, where Lucy broke tradition and wore a red wedding dress.In 1991, veteran General Hospital star, Emily McLaughlin (Jessie Brewer), passed away at the age of 62 after a battle with cancer. Her character was never written out or even referred to until many years later during an anniversary episode, where Dr. Steve Hardy (John Beradino) mentioned that Jessie had died.
In 2011, Tamara Braun made her debut in the role of Taylor Walker on Days of our Lives, replacing actress Natalia Livingston in the role. The character would be written off by the end of September.
