On this day in 1992, John (Drake Hogestyn) married Isabella (Staci Greason) on Days of our Lives. Isabella went into labor during the couple's wedding ceremony and gave birth to their son, Brady. Their happiness was short-lived when Isabella learned she had cancer. Isabella would die in John's arms several months later.In 1996 - General Hospital star, John Beradino (Dr. Steve Hardy), passed away at the age of 79. Beradino was on General Hospital for over 30 years and received three Daytime Emmy nominations for Best Actor during his career. He died at his home after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
In 1998 - Ellen Wheeler briefly reprised the role of Marley on Another World. Marley was the twin sister of Vicky, who was being played by Jensen Buchanan at the time. Rather than have Buchanan play both roles, the show decided to bring back Wheeler (who originally played both parts years earlier) and their obvious physical differences were explained by plastic surgery after Marley was disfigured in a fire.
