On this day in 1985, Days of our Lives fan favorites, Bo & Hope (Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso) got married. Bo and Hope are one of the greatest soap opera supercouples of all time. They would win the award of 'America's Favorite Supercouple' years later at the 2002 Emmys.In 2001 - Actor Brandon Routh made his soap opera debut in the role of Seth Anderson on One Life to Live. He played the role for nearly one year, but his big break came when he was cast as Clark Kent in the film, Superman Returns. Brandon continues to work as a prolific actor and voice artist, starring in the recent indie comedy film Out of Order and the thriller podcast The Hive.
In 2003 - Keith Hamilton Cobb made his first appearance in the role of Damon Porter on The Young and the Restless. Most soap fans remember Cobb for his portrayal of Noah Keefer on All My Children in the mid-90's. Given all of the media coverage Cobb received in that role, did you know he was only in a total of 22 episodes on AMC? His role on Y&R lasted quite a bit longer - 2 years. Today Cobb is most notably touring and performing his award-winning, one-man show American Moor and directing The Untitled Othello Project.
