The last monthly published soap opera magazine to surface in the 21st century, Soap Opera Previews, only managed to hang on for one year (2004-2005). It goes without saying, soap opera magazines are being published few and far between now. The last weekly issue, Soap Opera Digest, had 1.5 million subscribers in the early 90s and only 43,000 when it ceased publication in 2023.
